By the HKU Engineering Alumni Association

The HKU Engineering Alumni Association (HKUEAA) Reception cum Class Representative Appointment Ceremony was held on April 12, 2018 at the historic Hung Hing Ying Building of the University of Hong Kong. It was well attended by engineering alumni and staff members from the Faculty of Engineering.  Around 40 class representatives from different graduation years and engineering disciplines were appointed to their capacity by Ir Alex Kwan (President of HKUEAA), Professor Norman Tien (Dean of Engineering) and Ir Alex Wong (Vice President (Alumni Affairs) of HKUEAA).

The evening also marked the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the HKUEAA and the Faculty of Engineering, which signifies the start of an important collaboration between the engineering alumni community and our alma mater. This collaboration will see HKUEAA donate a total of over HK$660,000 over three years to the “HKUEAA Experiential Learning Fund” to support the Faculty in offering equipment and opportunities for students to explore innovative technologies outside of the classroom.

The event was organised by HKUEAA with support from the Development & Alumni Affairs Office and the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering.
