I have to admit that I was not good at mathematics or statistics when I was studying in secondary school. I failed my math subject in form 4. However, thanks to my mother as she "kicked" me to Toronto and gave me the second chance! Then I found my interest in statistics after my first year of university and finally finished my actuarial science and applied statistics degree. In 2005, I would like to further enhance my statistical skills, so I have decided to take HKU's master of statistics as my second master degree. I have learned many useful technique and software in the courses which give me a stronger statistical sense to help my current work as a reinsurance broker.

Besides statistics, I am crazy for jazz music, especially big band music. I am a trombone player in Basicnotes Jazz Big Band (www.basicnotesbigband.com) and I enjoy playing music at jazz bar, restaurant and city hall. I am a father of 2 sons who have taken up most of my spare time!
